Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd., a State-Owned Company and was established as the Manufacturer and Supplier of steel products for Chinese Army in 1971. In its present form, Xinxing has become the largest manufacturer in China and the second biggest manufacturer in the world for ductile iron pipes, fittings and accessories. Xinxing is one of the biggest 500 industrial and commercial enterprises in China also, the annual turnover of Xinxing was more than RMB(Chinese Yuan) 8.0 billion in the year 2004. In 1997, Xinxing changed its name to Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd. And was listed on China Shenzhen Stock Exchange Market and became a public limited company with total 320,000,000 shares. 34% of these equity shares were exchanged in the Stock Exchange Market. After rapid progress in the past few years, now the total assets of Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd. is more than RMB 8 billion in the stock market. As a listed company in China, Xinxing is meeting many opportunities and challenges. Innovation and upgradation have formed an integral part of the history of Xinxing’s growth. Xinxing leads the China in blast cupola and ductile iron pipe/fittings expertise. Xinxing has a technical and engineering centre including more than 750 engineers. They are working in all the field of iron and steel, especially for ductile iron pipe and fittings. The following are some interesting facts on Xinxing: 1. Xinxing is the only company can supply full range of ductile iron pipe and fittings from DN80-2600mm in China. There are only three companies having this ability all over the world and Xinxing is the one of them. 2. Xinxing is the first and only company in China producing and supplying ductile iron pipes and fittings for gas pipeline network. 3. Xinxing is the first and only company can produce centrifugal casting machine for ductile iron pipes in China. In 1999, Xinxing successfully supplied one full set of production line of ductile iron pipes to Malaysia. Now this production line runs very well. 4. In 1996, Xinxing established a factory for ductile iron fittings using the most advanced technology all over the world — “Vacuum Lost Foam process”. All the production line was developed by the technical and engineering centre of Xinxing. In 2000, Xinxing supplied one set of production line successfully to the Indian ductile iron pipes producer Electrosteel Castings Ltd. Now this line works very well and highly appreciated by the end user. 5. Xinxing can supply DI pipes, fittings and accessories with all kinds of international standards such as ISO 2531, BS EN 545 and BS EN 598. 6. Xinxing is the first company in China exporting ductile iron pipe and fittings. 7. In 1998, Xinxing fulfilled two contracts with Kuwait for ductile iron pipes and fittings with ceramic epoxy lining. There are only few companies all over the world can supply ductile iron pipes with this kind of special lining. 8. In 2001, Xinxing fulfilled a contract with Syria Clients for ductile iron pipes and fittings with outside zinc coating and followed epoxy coating lining, it is the first company can supply this kind of coating pipes to outside countries 9. Xinxing now can supply special coating for the pipes and fittings, such as polyurethane coating, FBE coating and polyurethane coating and epoxy coating 10. At present Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd. has four factories for manufacturing ductile iron pipes. Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd (Hebei), producing ductile iron pipes from DN80-2600mm with push-on joint and mechanical joint. Wuhu Xinxing pipes Ltd. producing pipes from DN100-1400mm with push-on and mechanical joint. Handan Xinxing Pipes Ltd. producing ductile iron pipes for carrying gas from DN100-600mm with N type and S type joint. Wuhu Xinxing producing ductile iron pipes from DN80-DN1400mm. Also Handan Xinxing Pipes Ltd. Can produce DN1600-3000mm ductile iron pipes with mechanical joint. The main production lines in all the ductile iron pipes factories were imported from Germany, Italy and America. During these years Xinxing make some great improvements and innovations for these equipment to increase the capacity and improve the quality of final products. Now the total annual capacity of ductile iron pipes in Xinxing is 1,350,000 MT making it the second biggest manufacturer in the world. 11. Xinxing also manufactures fittings from DN60-2600mm with all kinds of joints adopting the most advanced technology. Future Plans Now Xinxing is the biggest company for producing full range of ductile iron pipes and fittings in China. But it is not the ultimate target for Xinxing. Xinxing is looking forward to being the largest and best supplier for ductile iron pipes and fittings all over the world. To make it come true earlier, in the future Xinxing will continue expanding the capacity and adopting the latest technology for improving the quality of products.
